What context are you using the term "sexy" to express? It's become slang for "cutting edge" or "exciting" these days and doesn't always relate to sex. If you're essentially asking "What sort of background makes a page snazzy and exciting" it's all a matter of personal taste. I like gradients and textures that are dark in the background and faded out beneath a table or a div layer in such a way that the text can be read. I do this on nearly all my own page designs, and call it "glass tables" since it looks like you can see through them.

I rather dislike the "web 2" look, which is the "all pages white-with-black-text" look, the "all-css-and-no-tables" look, and/or the "no-textures" look. These days that sort of thing is what lots of web mavens encourage because it supposedly increases accessibility. (Actually, it decreases it, in some ways. And makes pages BORING, but that's just my aesthetic.)

If what you mean is "what's a good background for an adult site"?

Depends on the specialty, y'know? But here's my two cents: you can't go wrong with black and red, for an adult site. It's definitely "sexy" in all the term's meanings. Using gradients for background is simple and can make it look like there's depth to the page.

But put your text inside a table or a div layer that's solid-coloured in a light or dark colour to contrast with the text's own colour, or wash out the gradient and lighten it and use it as a table cell background, for dark text, or conversely, darken the gradient, and desaturate it, and use as table cell background for light coloured text.

And boldface your links! It makes them easy to find. (Your question's wording is a wee bit vague...Hope this helps.)
